Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Business in Dublin collects, why, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018. It’s written to be readable; if anything’s unclear, email hello@businessindublin.ie.

Who we are

Business in Dublin (“we”) publishes an independent city guide at businessindublin.ie. For data-protection purposes, the data controller can be reached at hello@businessindublin.ie.

What we collect

  • Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we store the email address you give us, solely to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • Messages you send us. If you email or contact us, we keep that correspondence to reply and follow up.
  • Basic analytics. Like most websites we collect anonymised, aggregated statistics (pages viewed, general location, device type) to understand what’s useful. This does not identify you personally.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. Essential cookies help the site function; any non-essential analytics are aggregated and anonymised. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Legal basis

We process newsletter data on the basis of your consent, and correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to you. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission. To exercise any of these, email hello@businessindublin.ie.

Changes

We’ll update this policy as needed and note the date of the latest revision here. Last updated: 25 August 2026.
